Day 16 – Friday, June 9
PCT Mile 275.0 to PCT Mile 298.5
Day Total: 23.5 miles
We packed up and grabbed a couple of liters of water each from a water cache at the nearby dirt road crossing and got going.
From there we had a pretty calm hike to the next water source, a spring fed trough. There were a few bridge crossings along the way, mostly over dry creeks.
There weren't many exceptional things about the day aside from our campsite.
We crossed the Deep Creek bridge and found a flat spot right on the sandy beach by the creek. The bridge was above us to the right of camp, and we had one of the biggest water sources of the entire trip behind our heads for the night.
One oddity from the day was that we didn't see any other thru-hikers the entire day. We sort of fell into a gap between two groups.
The people behind us were moving a bit slower than us. Reading the trail registers along the way, we knew another group was about a half day ahead of us. Some folks in the register we had hiked with before and hope to catch soon.
ONE MORE THING in case you want to mail us anything (keeping in mind we aren't carrying much with us):
